At Power Washing Services, Inc., we are proud to have been providing top-quality commercial cleaning services for over 40 years. Our journey started with a passion for creating clean and healthy environments for our clients, and that passion has only grown over time.

Humble Beginnings

In 1982, Rick Christian had been working with Select Sysco Foods in Hayward, California. Rick approached the manager at the time, asking if he could detail clean the fleet trucks to bring morale up with the drivers. Using a pressure washer for this task, Rick learned the ins and outs of the equipment and mounted it in the back of his 1971 Chevrolet El Camino. From there, Rick and his wife Lori founded Power Washing Services, Inc. With their company formed, Power Washing Services worked to pressure wash the local movie theater and grew to the sidewalks at a local shopping center. The company then took on residential work encompassing driveways, patios, and redwood decks. Taking on more challenging jobs, Rick took his El Camino up to Altamont Pass where he would clean the blades of the windmills; increasing their performance and efficiency. The couple found their passion in pressure washing and over the years grew the size and scope of their operation. The business from shopping centers grew over the many years serving more than 128 shopping centers throughout the Tri-Valley and San Francisco Bay Area. 

Pioneering in the Industry

With a mind for the environment, Rick designed and built his own equipment to aid in the reclamation of used water runoff. In 1996, Rick was one of 7 business people in the San Francisco Bay Area who helped in the formation of guidelines for proper cleaning practices for environmental purposes. These guidelines are through BASMAA, Bay Area Stormwater Management Agency Association. With an ever expanding operation, Rick put together several trucks and reclaimation devices at the forefront of environmentally responsible exterior sanitation services. 

A legacy of excellence carried forward

The business has grown through the years to 13 employees running both day and night shifts. After over 40 years of running the business, we are ready to turn over the reins of the company to Abe Lahdo, who will be taking over and overseeing all practices for the business and with his leadership and passion will continue growing Power Washing Services as Rick did throughout the years and carry on for another 40 years!!
